Punta Mita

The sands of Punta Mita are home to two Jack Nicklaus courses and offer both greens and beautiful ocean views. Voted the world’s #1 golf course, The Pacifico (at the Four Seasons) boasts the world’s only natural island green in the world – The Tail of the Whale – an optional par-three 19^th hole. The course itself is between 5,037 – 7,014 yards. The second course, The Bahia, opened in late 2008 and features six ocean holes and plays between 5,080 – 7,035 yards. Set in a more undulating terrain, The Bahia offers stark contrast and putting challenges for those who wish to play more than one round. From beginners to experienced golfers, lessons are available at both locations to polish your game.

Barbados

Barbados is home to – count them – FIVE PGA golf courses. Gorgeous views and tournaments are featured along with year-round par-perfect weather. Golfers at every level are welcome at Apes Hill, Royal Westmoreland, Sandy Lane Country Club, Sandy Lane Green Monkey, Barbados Golf Club and the 9-hole Rockley Resort.

Apes Hill opened in 2009 and offers challenges from 5,000 – 7,150 yards. Each of the unique holes incorporate sharply edged bunkers and rolling greens. Apes Hill incorporates a strong environmental program and provides sanctuary for wildlife on the property. The Royal Westmoreland course is a par-72 7,045 yard course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The Caribbean sunshine illuminates this superbly maintained and perfectly trimmed fairways. Sandy Lane offers three courses: The Old Nine, The Country Club, and world-renowned Green Monkey (created by Tom Fazio). No matter which Sandy Lane course you play, you will be surrounded by spectacular scenic coastline.

Jamaica

You don’t need to be a golfer to enjoy what Jamaica has to offer. The Tryall, Half Moon and Sandals offer fantastic greenways for golfers of all levels. Tryall incorporates magnificent villas and ocean views with twisting and winding fairways. Ralph Plummer cleverly designed this course using the lands natural topography and features. Half Moon’s golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr then modernized by Roger Rulewich. This beautiful course has hosted the European PGA Senior Tour and Jamaica Open. This course is just minutes away from White Witch and Cinnamon Hill.

Dominican Republic

The D.R. is home to a whopping 26 golf courses and is quickly becoming a top destination for golf enthusiasts.  Pete Dye has designed five courses on the island including Teeth of the Dog at Casa de Campo while Jack Nicklaus has three courses on island including Punta Espada at Cap Cana. Top Fazio won’t be left out, he desined Corales Golf Course in Punta Cana while Robert Trent and Paul Burke Dye have also left marks on the incredible landscape.
