One of our favorite things to do is drive all the way around the island – we suggest driving the top loop (Haleakala through to Wailuku), the Road to Hana to the southern edge of the volcano and back to Kahului, and then Maalae beyond Makena. You will experience sights you can’t even imagine. Use your Maui vacation villa as your departure site – if done all in one day, it is incredibly long, we suggest departing your villa in at least two trips.
